Job Description:

The Business Development Executive, Department of Homeland Security, will develop key relationships and lead CSRA's pursuit of business with the DHS. The successful candidate must possess a deep understanding of DHS mission priorities as well as key relationships with the DHS customer. Specific areas of focus will include the increase in sales and awards in Digital Platforms (infrastructure and cloud), Application Development, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Intelligence Analysis and other mission support and IT services.


The CSRA DHS Business Development Executive possesses a deep understanding of DHS mission priorities as well as key relationships within DHS, and will leverage this strong foundation to develop customer and partner relationships, provide thought leadership in the market and lead the development of CSRA go to market account plans.

You will provide critical leadership through the new business capture lifecycle - from opportunity identification, qualification, and win strategy development through the post submission phases of the Business Capture Process. You will formulate, communicate and implement an integrated business development and capture strategy that provides customers a clear and defensible justification for selecting CSRA for the award.

The Business Development Executive will develop and implement campaign plans and strategies, have a firm comprehension of the customer's requirements, understand the strengths/weaknesses of our competitors and develop/implement winning strategies that highlight strengths and mitigate weaknesses. Additionally, you will establish value-added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures to create a profitable return at a winning cost.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business related field

  • At least 10 years of experience in the federal market

  • Proven ability to build relationships and lead through influence at all levels of the organization

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • Proven track record of closing sales at DHS
