Graphics Artist

Key Role:

Provide thought leadership, initiative, and creative insights to assist with the development of the Army Cyberspace operations enterprise, including Army Cyber Command, NETCOM, Cyber Center of Excellence, and HQDA Staff and the Joint Cyberspace operations enterprise, including USCYBERCOM, USSTRATCOM, Geographic and Functional Combatant Commands, AFCYBER, MARFORCYBER, and FLEETCYBER. Create, plan, design, and prepare primarily Cyberspace operations-related graphics design products that contain digital graphics, computer generated animation, photographs, text, and abstract illustration for a variety of branding and product promotions, in response to US Army Cyber Command Commander and staff requirements. Provide advice and assistance with interpreting and applying guidelines and standards for design, graphics, composition, and techniques related to the communication of information. Serve as a graphics design resource for the organization, design document and publication formats, and work with the client to select design elements, including color, ink, font, layout, paper stock, and printing and binding methods. Employ computer graphics systems, computer programs, and cutting-edge technology to generate graphics, three-dimensional effects, and animation. Experiment with new methods and ideas to improve the quality and quantity of work produced. Cultivate a positive interaction with Army Cyber Command clients throughout the production process.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with digital media development, diagramming, desktop publishing, and office productivity software applications, including Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Visio, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Knowledge of Cyberspace operations or information technology security concepts that enable today's Internet-based connectivity

-Ability to successfully execute multiple tasks simultaneously

-Ability to work as a team member or independently execute tasks with minimal supervision

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Army or Joint Cyberspace operations enterprises, including Army Cyber Command, NETCOM, USSTRATCOM, and USCYBERCOM

-Ability to create Web-based graphics and design templates for the public facing Army Cyber Web site

-Possession of excellent initiative, organizational, and interpersonal skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
