We are seeking a full-time Resource Analyst II to support a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD.
Summary: Will provide financial support to WFIRST Project at Goddard Space Flight Center.
Monitor contracts and task orders such as cost pools to analyze project costs.
Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of the project's workforce exercise. Will track planned vs actual staffing with explanations on variances, and prepare monthly reports to project and Center management.
Perform status of funds with technical managers and develop phasing plans.
Monitor expenditures ensuring utilization of correct accounting information and funds availability and initiating corrective action when errors occur.
Research budget, cost management, purchasing and Executive Information System (EIS) reports in Business Objects (BOBJ) and provide data to customers.
Reviewing and understanding 533s and providing input to technical managers.
Develop financial plans/baselines and budget review packages during the Programmatic Planning Budget Execution (PPBE) exercise.
Manage, track, and report on Code 448's program funding to ensure funds are being spent adequately and timely while meeting technical requirements.
Support cost estimation efforts.
Maintain, assess, and improve Code 448 Program financial reporting and analysis while evaluating and analyzing the financial plans versus actuals.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook); advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and linking spreadsheets.
Experience with GSFC financial systems, including SAP, BOBJ, Funds Control System, iWAPP and CORTS is desired.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage time and meet strict reporting deadlines.
Ability to work independently, as well as with a team.
Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related discipline or four (4) years of work experience in the Finance field in lieu of a college degree.
